Each of our walk trails explore the spectacular landscapes and ancient, Cultural connections that the Wudjari people have to this Country. We recommend comfortable walking shoes, hat, sun protection and drinking water... and be sure to bring your camera.
Class 2 Walk Trails
follow easy, well defined trails with a firm surface and may include gentle hills and steps. They are suitable for all levels of fitness, but may present difficulties for people with mobility impairment.
Class 3 Walk Trails
are moderate and may involve minor natural challenges such as short, steep sections, steps, shallow water crossings and unstable, slippery surfaces. A good level of fitness is recommended.

Hakea Lorena, the Pin Cushion Hakea
One of the most flora and fauna rich conservation areas in Western Australia. Approximately 20% of the state’s described plant species, 22 mammal species, 41 reptile species, and more than 200 bird species. Often spotted on walks are kangaroos, emus, honey possums, and plenty of lizards and frogs. This is a wheelchair accessible trail. 1.5 hours
Hellfire Bay

A timeless landscape
Almost hidden among giant slabs of granite, Hellfire Bay is this lesser known stretch of sand at Cape Le Grande National Park. Walk from the scenic landscape of Hellfire Bay through to Little Hellfire as we look at seasonal plants, bushfoods and animals. During the season of Makuru you may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the migrating Southern Right Whales. This is a class 3 walk trail, no dogs allowed. 1.5 hours
Kepwari Trail

Kepwari means 'place of moving water'
On this 7 km trail around the reserve learn about the wetlands, and their cultural and environmental significance. There are wooden boardwalks, as well as plenty of seating along the way, and two bird hides that you can use to check out the abundant bird life in the area. This is a class 3 walk. 1.5 hours

Dempster Head
Forage for coastal bush foods
Follow the Rotaru Walk Trail and excite your senses with the seasonal plants and bushfoods along this beautiful elevated trail. This relatively gentle walking trail has spectacular views of the town and the bay, as well as a panorama from the top of the hill that cannot be beaten. This is a dog friendly, class 2 walk trail. 1.5 hours
